Mercy supports South Central Premier’s mission statement with the first-hand experience of how it impacted her as a player and a person. To create an environment where players fall in love with the game and, through the game, develop long-lasting character traits and life skills that will help them succeed outside of the sport is a precious opportunity. Mercy takes that opportunity very seriously and is excited to do so with the same club that sparked her love for the game of soccer.
Throughout her premier and collegiate years of soccer, Mercy immersed herself into the coaching world. Beginning with Victory soccer camps as a freshman in high school and continuing on to lead clinics (as well as play soccer and futsal) in Brazil, the inner cities of Chicago, and in towns around Connecticut. Aside from coaching clinics and camps for the last 13 years, Mercy has head coached a U14 and U19 girl’s soccer team for the town of East Haven, as well as a freshman Madison girl’s high school team. Mercy was also an assistant varsity coach for the Madison girl’s high school team before moving on to pursue her Master’s degree in Exercise Science-Human Performance.

She holds PreK-12 teacher certifications in both Health and Physical Education and has a Master’s degree in Exercise Science where her focus and thesis was specifically on female athletes. She has professionally presented work from her undergraduate and graduate degrees at both national and state conferences. Mercy was the only one from her class at the graduate level selected to present her thesis work in a student competition.

Mercy has been playing soccer since the age of 8. Her first experience with premier soccer was through South Central, where a love of the game was fostered. Mercy played premier soccer, as well as ODP, up until leaving for college. In college, Mercy played at an NAIA Div. 1 school before transferring to Southern Connecticut State University to pursue a higher level of education. Upon transferring, Mercy had the privilege to play for a WPSL team (one step below NWSL), while at the same time training for a full ironman.
